Last day of Winter!I guess Mother Nature wanted to be sure and remind us that today is still winter! Snow, again! Yesterday we finally
hit 66 degrees the first time since last November and now this! We were finally able to move about without having 6
inches of mud stuck to our boots. This is definitely not, prime calving weather! Oh well, tomorrow is Spring,
hope for change!

MUDAfter surving the winter from ----, we are now faced with the spring of eternal mud. We haven't seen the sun shine since
last Friday and it has rained or drizzled every day. Plus, we still have our enormous snow piles and the north sides
are still covered in snow. Calves are coming early this year, one bull decided not to wait last year, so he is causing
tremendous strife. We are already down two. I can only pray that the sun comes out and dries us out to give the
little guys a fighting chance. I believe Iowa has changed its seasons, SNOW---MUD!

FALL 2008Our hills have been so colorful this year. The rains came late, so harvest is suffering. Soon, all three little
miniature horses will be in their new facility. If I can managed to not smash anymore fingers. My writing is coming
along very well and I feel back on track. Have a safe a wonderful harvest!
